The Woodlands

Preschool

Where curiosity grows wild.

3 years through early 4s

Preschoolers are full of questions, and we love helping them explore the answers. Preschoolers are ready to explain an idea, make a plan, and try something a new way. Teachers turn that curiosity into hands-on experiences with language, numbers, art, science, and friendship.

Supporting your child’s development

What Your Child Will Be Learning

01

Stories become our own

Children talk about books, dictate stories, notice letters and sounds, draw in journals, and practice early writing as their hands and interests develop.

02

Math we can touch

Count the blocks for a tower. Sort objects by shape. Make a pattern. Compare which container holds more. Math belongs in the things we do.

03

Questions worth exploring

Investigate what sinks and floats, explore nature, build something, or test an idea. Children observe, predict, and talk about what happened.

04

A place in the group

Friends learn to enter play, work through disagreements, share ideas, follow routines, and take on small classroom responsibilities with teacher support.

Daily routines

A Day in Our Program

Classroom routines provide familiarity while leaving room for children’s needs, interests, weather, and special activities.

Explore and make connections

Breakfast, circle, hands-on activities, creative work, and outdoor play give children different ways to participate and learn.

Pause and recharge

Lunch and personal-care routines lead into rest. Teachers help children settle and follow the classroom’s rest arrangements.

Try, create, and revisit

Afternoons make room for snack, projects, books, play, and another chance to return to an idea or spend time with a friend.

Our daily routine

Time to Learn, Play & Rest

Our preschool day includes classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest. Familiar routines help children know what comes next, while teachers adjust activities to the group’s needs.
