Bug Room

TK/Kindergarten Readiness & Wraparound

Curious minds, growing friendships, and new discoveries.

4½ years through Kindergarten

In our Bug Room, children explore, create, and practice new skills together. School readiness is more than recognizing letters and numbers. It’s also asking for help, managing a backpack, following directions, trying a task, and working through frustration with support. We practice those things alongside hands-on learning.

Supporting your child’s development

What Your Child Will Be Learning

01

Words, sounds, and writing

Books, letter sounds, storytelling, drawing, name writing, and journals help children connect ideas, speech, and print.

02

Numbers with meaning

Children count real objects, compare quantities, make patterns, build, investigate, and explain how they solved a problem.

03

“I’ve got my things”

Managing belongings, caring for materials, following multi-step directions, and taking classroom responsibility build independence.

04

Ready to be part of a class

Communicating needs, listening to others, cooperating, and recovering from frustration are skills children practice with patient guidance.
